Wheelers Leaving St. Mark's

Pastor Gary has announced that he has been appointed to the Germantown United Methodist Church in Germantown, Ohio. (Click here for the announcement letter.) His last Sunday at St. Mark's will be June 12.


Tammy Jo Resier Next Pastor of St. Mark's

Bishop Bruce Ough announces the appointment of Rev. Tammy Jo Reiser as the next pastor of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. She is coming from the Waynesville United Methodist Church in Waynesville, Ohio. Her first Sunday will be July 3, 2011.

Tammy Jo has a BA in Liberal Studies/Organizational Leadership from Wilmington College, a Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary, focusing on Ministry in Contemporary Culture Specialization, and a Youth Ministry Certificate from Fuller Theological Seminary.

She is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and a member of the West Ohio Conference. She has served as Youth Ministry Consultant for the West Ohio Conference. She is an experienced speaker, teacher and workshop leader at events nationwide, and has been an Adjunct Professor of Youth Ministry at United Theological Seminary.

She began her pastoral ministry here at St. Mark's from 1997-1999 as a Student Associate. From here, she was the Associate Pastor at Cornerstone United Methodist Church for 6 years. From 2005-2006, she was the English Pastor at the Korean Madisonville United Methodist Church. And from 2006 to the present, she has been the pastor of the Waynesville United Methodist Church,

Tammy Jo is married to Dan and they are now empty nesters. Daughter Amy is 27 and lives in Louisville, KY. Nathan is 20 and in the United States Air Force, stationed at Creech AFB in Nevada. Emmalee is 18 and at the University of Cincinnati studying International Affairs and Military Science.
Tammy Jo is active in the Northern Lights Emmaus and Chrysalis Community. She serves on the Ohio River Valley Missions Foundation, and has traveled to Romania, Russia and Jamaica on mission trips. She and Dan share their lives and home with the 3 dogs and a cat the kids left behind! She loves walking, is an avid reader, computer geek, and a collector of Nativities.
